Orientation today. What can I say? I'm a freshman... again. It's got its good parts and its bad. I met people who I never remember knowing until today, and met a couple of other people. Yeah, Orientation is all about that isn't it.

I'm sorry but I have to compare Swinburne with Taylors. I honestly say, the system of running things in Taylors are more organised, but the Student council in Swinburne have been impressive.
Okay, let me run through very quickly, and skipping the boring parts about today. Speeches speeches and speeches, we need to live in a world without them sooner. When it came to the part where Some woman is telling us about the library, things get rather boring.

People fall asleep. I don't blame him. If you happen to be this guy, no offence.(I think I know who you are)
I sign myself up to a couple of clubs, to meet other people, and to have a fun University life.
The Icebreaking games were quite good. My team won first place in the Overall standings for the first set of games. I am very proud. We got ourselves a hamper and I took these stuff home.
 a bottle of sarsi and...
 some junk food.
I got a picture of myself hoisting the hamper but unfortunately something happened to the file.
We ended in a Treasure hunt, where I gotten myself working with a group of girls. We were the first to finish and unfortunately, we lost by 4 points only. Sigh. More goodies.
At the end of the day, I had my fun, and there is a TOUR OF KUCHING tomorrow. The funny part is, I AM FROM KUCHING, but I'm so free that I join the international and outstation students for a day of fun.

Now that I have my camera, its time to show the world how my computer table looks like.

Well, its a little messy.
I really need to sharpen my camera skills, I can't use the earthquake excuse anymore. No body believes me anymore. Tragic.

PS: I shook the camera

I know I don't blog about my personal life, as in what I do or feel that no one else knows, like...

but today happened to be my 11th month anniversary with Ju..
 yay!
I'm not here to brag about it, but this month, she gave me this, and this is what I shall brag about.

Its not super new, its not super expensive, its second hand, but yet its a digital Camera. Its a Sony 3.2 megapixels cybershot. Good enough for my blogging needs. I am truly grateful.

Why am I the happiest guy in the now? Because I wanted a freaking camera since a long time ago, and now it is achieved. Its not easy when I don't really have the money to buy one.
Earlier this year, I proposed and began a camera fund and collected around RM100 up to date. Look like I will be using it for something else.
Okay, I shall go dance with joy!

THis is a letter to my future self. One day I will read my archives and answer myself. Either that, my future self will time travel a reply back to me now. Lets say I shall write to myself when I'm 35. Thats basically 16 years from now. Not too long I guess.
Dear Me in 2022,
Hey, how are you doing? I am fine. How's your family doing? Is everyone healthy and bla bla bla. (Go read an example letter for Primary 6, sixth grade, standard 6)
Anyways, I would like to know a couple of things that is going to happen, or shall I say Happened, in the next 16 years, or should I say, 16 years ago! haha! ok
By the way, Did I make it big? Millionaire? Billionaire? Or just happy living and not really the money making fiasco that I dreamt? Did I really gotten myself married in 'that year'? Was I married a virgin? Did I get a good ass kicking job? Whats my income like? How much is a bowl of Kolo Mee now?
QUite a lot of questions striked at you, i meant me eh? And I guess there are no flying cars yet, and our handphones still cannot teleport. Please tell me that I'm right.
More more questions...
Did Harry Potter die in the last book? Did they remake the Star Wars trilogy? I ever got my 6 pack? Who got married 1st? Me or my sister? Did I ever gotten a chance to pick up a bundle of RM100 notes tied with a rubber band? Did I get to save people's lives? Which city do I live in? I really graduated from Uni? What's my first car like? DId I even have a car at all? How long did this blog last? Liverpool won the Premiership? Who's the prime minister? Did Kung Pao really had a sequel? Did they make a flyman movie? What kind of house did I live in? How many kids I got? Is karimaka50@hotmail.com still valid? Yahoo got bankrupt yet?
Well, thats all I gotta ask for now. I'l get back to you if u ever replied. And have a smashing time.
Love, Me in 2006

I just realise my holidays are ending. My Lodge classmate friends are leaving. And my University is starting.
3 months of holidays come down to this. All the bumming around and hanging out and money spending, money saving, late nights are all about to end. Suddenly Study is in my dictionary again, hopefully it will last.
By next week education suddenly seems important again. Suddenly its all about the future. Suddenly I didn't complete my assignment and get shot right in the head for that. Suddenly the lazing blissful days seems to be ages ago.
On the brightside, I got a few plans for the year while studying. Hopefully I will have enough time to carry on with my plans, or at least some of it.
Wait and see. Karimaka.blogspot.com might be more exciting than ever. (or in some cases a boring blogspot with remnants of boring Uni life)
Sigh, life is so much about education. I want to be the one that will change that perspective

I was helping out in clearing junk out of the house just now and I found a lot of stuff from my school days. Brings back the best memories of the past when failing is a culture, not a setback. Memories roll back to me. Listed down as below. (I can only find stuff from form 4 onwards because all the stuff before that were already thrown or recycled)
- I used to have an Everything exercise book where I do every subject in, if I misplaced my other books.
- Forging signatures
- Drawing pictures of anime-like or whatever girls in the back cover of our notebooks.
- Calling the math book 'A-rit-mer-trick'
- Having so many Add math test books because somehow soooo forgotten to get a parents signature from the last test.
- Scribbles everywhere
- Having Ashraff's Sejarah notebook! (hahaha)
- calling Kimia 'Chemicals' and Kimia Amali 'Chemicals Applied'
- Having football mud marks on err everything
- Having a book dedicated to Connect 4.
- hahaha.. crazy unfinished notes with 'INCOMPLETE! SEE ME' written on the cover with a ball point red pen
- and many more junk that I forgotten
Those were the days.
However I was kind of dissapointed in not finding the BOK, BOOK of KNOWledGE, which I owned a copy.. I think it was the 3rd or the 4th one.

Have you caught Firewall featuring the ever so sexy but too old Harrison Ford? I'm not going to spoil it for you but I can tell you that if you are hoping non-stop action, the movie is going to suck you off like you never existed. Well, lets put it this way, at least the hero is not a kungfu master or knows how to shoot 5 people at once with a handgun at a tight angle. At least he is of a norm and not some secret agent or a professional spy.
And yes, Harrison ford is getting too old. So is John Travolta and Brad Pitt. I cant believe so many young girls my age are still falling for them.

Cant you see... he's old!

Valentines day has its dark side too. Yes, the big V day we are all talking about is not as loving as we thought.
People overspend on Valentines day. Its true. Gifts and flowers and packages are not as cheap as you think they are. I read about a promotion in one of China's Hotels that cost up to RM45,000. Divide that by 3 to find out in US Dollars.
As beautiful as it sounds, today marks a very evil day to our pockets and wallets. Only cunning businessmen and entrepreneurs make use of our misery for the greater good of profits.
Valentines day also foul smelling. I remember last year, when my housemate left around 50 unselled roses in our fridge. It lasted there for like 3 months? Roses that fades, that start to not smell so great and drip rotten rose juice in your fridge is not the most pleasant thing in the world. Not when it stinks up your milk. A very big Yuck!
Anyways, Don't let me spoil your valentines day mood. Cherish the day with your loved ones, and count your losses tomorrow. Happy valentines day everybody!

This post is dedicated to my sister, Irene in Adelaide(refer to links at the side), working her ass of in her new job while I enjoy the 15 days of Chinese New Year.
Yes today is Chap Goh Meh, and we had not one not three, not even seventeen, but TWO big meals today. TWO! GET THAT RIGHT!
Anyways, Lunch was the family big lunch thing with MR duck, MR fish and MR chicken. Lets not forget Mrs Mix Vegetables. Sigh, too bad my dearest sister cannot enjoy this food this year.
At night, at my grandmother's house, my uncle who won some money during Chinese New Year decided to chia us by ordering food from some restaurant in Hui Sing. Irene, please take this down or you might forget. Fried rice, yam basket, pork with yam, mango fish, lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork and something else. Did I mention that it was quite good???
And to add insult to injury, I actually had ang paos this year! :D
Better luck next year, and send me some of your income.

I realised I didn't blog yesterday. My apologies, I really forgotten.
Everyone is going back, and Uni starts soon. The real life of 2006 is about to begin. I wonder how its going to be like.
I've been spending my time downloading games and only to be dissapointed. I'm going to try one of those Free Role Playing Games online. Can anyone give me some tips or suggestions? What to play and what not? And I don't want to spend a cent.
Downloaded Maple Story, but it just cant work. trying KAL online. Anyone tried this?
I believe all these and very little money remaining which means little spending when going out (so much for Ang Paos) will help me live my holidays.

Anyways, I got my haircut today.

This is how a RM6 haircut should look like. Look at the satisfaction my face is showing. (picture taken by webcam to please Mr Desmond Jerukan. Thank you for visiting my blog.)
Not bad really for RM6. For those wondering where this haircut is taken, its at Saberkas, Level 4, and I forgot the Salon/Barber's name. But I can tell you that its black.
The nice lady asked me if I want a layer or a spike style? I go for the spike.
Come on.. give me your comments.
I shall stop before I turn vain.

The past few weeks there has been a couple of upgrades to my computing needs. No, not the hard drive upgrade or a new ram, just Streamyx and I just got my Webcam.
The webcam is quite cool actually. I bought it from the Tzy Zhing (refer to links at the side) for a reasonable price. And for 1.3 megapixels, I would say a bargain. Actually, a friend bought this for me, so it is to be considered a gift for me.
So Far I'm pretty satisfied with it. Well, its quite big and it does not have a clip where I can have it attached to the top of my lap top screen but hey, it's still a webcam.
Here is a sample picture taken by the webcam..

not bad eh.

Reality bites. My deepest condolence to those that have to start class tomorrow morning. I remember how I felt when I was in school after chinese new year. It just sucks.
All those going back to college or something tomorrow, yea, it sucks. I understand.
When you have too little free time to enjoy before dreadful lessons, and early morning wakeups, it sucks. All those that start work tomorrow, it sucks too.
I pity all of you, I do. I'm still rocking my holidays like I should. Enjoying it as much as I can. Sleeping at odd hours without worrying about setting my alarm.
Bad news: My freaking car is dripping oil. I'm no car expert to explain the problem, but I know I have to drive it to the mechanic in the morning tomorrow. I hope the problem is fixed soon.

Just got back from a Damai trip. One to remember. It will take some time before we are all going to damai again. This is the part of the month where everyone's leaving. And I'm staying. I have my own reasons, and I believe I'm making the right choice.
Damai was great. We nearly made it to that very tree, but losing out only by a little bit. Nevermind, we are going back for a rematch some other time.
One night isn't dramatic enough as time was biting our lives. I wished we spent had a 2 night trip.
Pictures will not be up because I don't remember noticing a camera therefore, just use your imaginations.
I shall not go on any further.

I watched Fearless today. Starring Jet Li. We all know Jet Li. From his Once Upon a time in China to err, the one. My personal favourite is still kiss of the dragon.
Fearless is Jet Li's last martial arts film. So I was wondering what he's going to after this.
My first thought was he was going to be a comedic actor. Like Jim Carrey, or Chris Rock.
Maybe he'l host a talk show.
 Late night with Jet Li.
Maybe like Jacky Chan have his own adventure series.

Maybe He will open a Dojo.
Maybe just sit around and laze around with all his money.
Maybe an accountant!!
Gasp!
Okay, WE'l see.
Ps: pictures are perfectly done by Photoshop. No flaws.. they look so darn real.

It's been a hectic relaxing week so far. Ironic isn't it. I'm tired and exausted. IT's been great.
My Chinese New Year earnings this year accumulated to RM320 in exact. I'm happy. I know, boast about your RM600, or your RM. Mr 4 digit fellow. Same goes to those that don't do as well as me. I don't have super rich relatives, and I collect my angpaos in small amounts, and I have no complaints. Other than last year, this has to be my second highest year ever. I worked hard. Visiting and sucking up. :D
Satisfied with the amount I got, most will go into my Camera fund, and some already spent and some for the rest of the year. Gotta finance things properly. May seem a lot to a school kid, but a semi-happening Uni/College student, its really just a spare change.
Average Angpao recieved by non relatives this year ranges from RM4 to Rm10. Not bad. I'm satisfied and happy.
Okay, enough money talk, Chinese New Year isn't all about the money....
Wait.. IS it?
