Since I was such an angel for the past month, I got treated by Junella at Tropicana.
We ordered simple good stuff..
What is seafood without oyster omelette?
In tropicana, its fried in balls. Crisp to the very inside.
Everyone's favourite butter prawns is coming up next! Quick scroll ssslllllooooowwwllyyyy
Lets hear a whoa!!!!!
and noodles
Believe it or not, total was like RM26 for these three dishes.. for two of course..
Cheap and good.
Where is tropicana? Jalan Ang Cheng Ho, near the used to be 'Dua puluh sen' more to the sarawak river ;)

Its time to do this again.
This time I chose a more Jiwang song. I heard this from the radio the other day.
Just the way I liked it. Unrehearsed, one shot takes it all. Explains the bad timing at certain parts. Sorry about that.. Enjoy. Might just do more of these in the future.

Words cant describe how broke I am now. Approaching the end of the month is very miser-ing.
I need to learn to pack food and carry it with me around, avoiding urges to spend money , saving every cent for something worth spending on. Darn, I really need to learn how to do that.
And its so overly hard...
help me...

Ramadhan month begins today!
Muslims fast during this month when the sun is up.
Previous years, I tried fasting myself, not for the whole month, but just a couple of days and have successfully done it. Good for me, its not as tough as it seems. Really.
Anyways, not that everyone doesn't know, but its the wrong month to visit halal food places for dinner this month.
Happy fasting to all!

Next week is the very needed week semester break!
I repeat, semester break! not a holiday.
Just realise how kids these days have no holidays at all. Holidays are meant for fun and relaxation. Forgetting all the mambo jumbo one learn in school and just do what ever to refresh one's mind and all, and most importantly live life for once.
But nooo...
when we have holidays, what do parents do?
Send their semen products to tuition! Kiasuism
Come on man, if you take a day off, you don't want your boss to give you homework for your day off do you?
make sense?
Anyways, like I said, mid semester break. At least they phrase it better. The only thing that is so different about this break is that there is no need to attend classes. The workload is the same, if not even more.
It should be called No-classes-for-this-week-but-you-still-have-to-do-assignments-and-study-or-else-you-will -fail-and-no-one-will-care week.
How bout that :)

Mid autumn = mooncakes.
I don't know the history well, screw it, but mooncakes are just good :)
Here we have a mooncake. It says overseas mooncake on it. Must be made in Overseas restaurant..
My favourite paste is Lotus.. however this particular one is Durian.
These days people come up with weird flavoured mooncakes from icecream to chocolate to mango to horse meat. But I still prefer the good old lotus paste. Durian aint bad though. Taste like dodol (Liu lien kueh)
How to eat this moon cake? around 10 cm in diameter, you are not expected to squeeze the poor thing into your mouth
Correct! Use a bloody knife (Preferably with no blood)
And cut it into eight pieces.
By the way this particular mooncake is RM10.50
Yes they are all so expensive these days.
The mooncake is dominated by the paste
Mmmmmm.. good stuff. that's RM1.3125 in my mouth!!
Unfortunately majority of the moon cakes are not halal, however some minority stores/companies/bla bla blas do sell halal mooncakes. (Pretty much like halal kolok mee, the original is always better)

The internet is more or less back, slow but not as slow as the past 2 weeks. Hurray for that!
The last 6 weeks went by rather fast for my liking really. The start of the semester felt like 2 weeks ago.
There was some debate competition going on the weekend, and while walking to class, I met up with my ex-schoolmates. Juniors will always be juniors no matter how big and mature they've grown. Anyways, I was told that my name was mentioned about my BM story and dialogue writing. Hooray for me!!!
okay.. for the week, a few assignments and a test left before my one week holiday! Wish me luck (oh again)

Its been a while since we get a chance to feed fishes in Kuching. Not too far from town area I meant.
Reservoir park used to be the destination to buy weeks-old-tough bread
But now, its hard to find life forms in a reservoir of that colour.
Thankfully friendship park is the new park, for hip hoppers and wannabes to jog and feed fish.
Look!! A wannabe!
Instead of expired bread, some physically challenged people sell packets of fish food.
Throw it in the lake
And the best part is watching fish fighting their tails off for 1 little piece of fishfood. Okay, hundreds.

In one hour I face my first real test of the semester.
The thing is I'm not as prepared like I look and I know it. And for some reason I know that I won't do as well, and yet I have no motivation to study.
Failing is bad. I know, I don't want to fail.
Life's fun. As long as you dont fail (Ng, 2006)
looking through my photobucket account (just started this year, I find pictures that I posted up before in this very blog.
Randomly putting them up now because I feel like it.
And the best part is, nobody can stop me :D
okay.. wish me lots of luck. I don't want to screw up so soon. Preferably not at all.

Its not only me and the super slow steamyx connection lately.
I've been loading pages for 10 minutes and get nothing. Speeds down to 10bps, I don't know. I just don't know.
"Experience the Internet like never before With tmnet streamyx, you get broadband access service, which stays perpetually connected to the Internet with speed bandwidths of 512k up to 2mbps. So, now when you download your favourite songs, movies, music videos and even accessing your favourite websites, you won't have to wait for ever and ever, leaving you with more time to enjoy the Internet as you like. Broadband your life today and experience the World Wide Web like never before."
Right...
Anyways, I was told that there was a network maintainence thingy going on. A big scale thing for 2 whole weeks!!!
Sucks.

Some people have no freaking idea I wear glasses. Are you one of them?
Well I do. For 3 years now. And up to today, 3 pairs. My latest one broke into a couple of pieces, saddening as it may look.
Frameless, 10% blue shaded. Its about time to change anyways.
The casing cracked and caused a chain reaction of forces from my books towards the poor glasses.
Got this new Rexton eyewear frames, same degree and it cost a bomb to my budget. Thanks to Junella whom surprised me paid for my frames. I still have to handle the lenses.
What I find interesting about this frame is the zig-zag pattern that allows one to bend the eyewear without breaking it
Pretty much like aquafresh toothbrushes.
plus.. the colour is also not bad.
Black and blue, just like bruises.
It also came in a unique black Rexton casing
This time its not going to break easily.
yeap.
Anyways here I am wearing them.
And a shoutout. Happy Birthday Irene!!!

Steve Irwin has many fans. I admit I'm not one of them. A few years back my friends and I (cant remember who) were talking about how he will one day get bitten or eaten by some wildlife due to his dangerous living. I only admire the way he lived dangerously and doing what he loves to do. Thats just great. Anyways, we predicted he wouldn't live for another 10 years. Apparently we were right.
To all crocodile Hunter fans, I bet you've heard. No more crocodile hunter shows.
I never liked his shows but I respect what he does.
Stung by a stingray? Never saw that coming. I tot a vemon of a snake will kill him.
Nevertheless, Respect.

These days, its quite anoying to blog with such crappy connections.
Streamyx, Broadband my buns!
supposedly 512k but I only expect 10% of that speed. Instead, loading a page can take up to 8 minutes with a loading speed of 1.2kbps and below. Downloading a 15mb file takes 3 hours. Reminds me of the dial up days really..
Rain means no internet as well.
Fustrated I am. Very fustrated I am.

"West Ham have completed the sensational double signing of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano from Corinthians on permanent contracts."
nothing to do with anything but I'm just shocked. Footballing fans all over might feel the same level of shock-ness. Its just shocking.
