IF you've been to the Euro Fun fair at MJC (Which is Muda Jaya by the way) then you'll find the UK fun fair being similar in almost every way.

Some rides are different, they made an effort in moving the rides around, but the pricing and all are the same.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Price of entry is RM2. These tickets are pointless. Once you walk in the entrance they tear it apart like its last weeks lottery ticket.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Tokkens can be bought at this booth for RM2 each. Rides and games usually requires 2 or more tokkens. Kids rides only need one though.

If you ask me, the whole thing is a bloody rip off.

Raya is only 2 days long for people like me. Others get a longer holiday.

We sure didn't waste this year. Like usual, we visit Indra and Ashraff. For those who havent seen Ashraff for a while, he is still the same old klutzy fellow. :D

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Look at that kid in white telling everyone that he's the in thing.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

'I'm filthy rich' he said. 'My daddy owns the WHOLE of Merdeka Palace!'

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Not too bad, we got to attack Merdeka Palace catering food.

    Happy raya day to all.

This year's celebration is mediocre. No memorable advertisments on television, no good fireworks, nothing at all. As if it never happened.

    Happy depavali.

And there is no holiday here. Sucks doesn't it.

I wanted to buy depavali cards so that I can send them to people who doesn't celebrate it. I remember doing this years ago, sending Hari Raya cards to random people who do not celebrate it at all. Something random and amusing. :)

Thinking back about the past, I remember how my classmates and I sit in class, like 11 people surrounding a table designed for one, while the teacher is trying to tell us some exam tips (hahaha like its so important). And we talked about walking to Damai for years and years and up til today, it is yet to be done.

We had several plans on where to start and what time to start.

The most likely route will be from Indra's House. Since it is the closest to Damai itself.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

According to google earth, the distance would be a total of 28.97 kilometers.

The world record for a 50km walk is 3 hours and 36 minutes. And since this is just a 30km walk, and we are not a bunch of world record holders, possibly 4 to 5 hours should be enough to complete the journey.

Of course other factors such as weather and luggage comes into play.

Plan #1: we start walking from Indra's place at precisely 2am in the morning, hopefully reaching by 7am before the sun shows up. Some one else drive our luggage up.

Plan #2: there is no plan #2

So guys.. still up for it? :)

    I am.

I'm not even sure If I'm allowed to put this up, but as requested, here's an article I wrote. Nothing fancy...

    What is SEO?

What do you do when you want to search for information online? Type keywords on a famous search engine (perhaps google, yahoo or msn), click the search button and click on a link on the first page of the search results. Imagine yourself as a website owner and you simply want to improve the traffic of your webpage. It will be ideal to have your URL appearing on the very first page of search results, of course depending on the relevant keywords typed. Heard it or not, Search engine optimization (SEO) is a set of manners meant to improving the ranking of a website in search engine listings. Simple terms, the higher the ranking, the more likely the website will appear in the first page of the search results, the more likely an internet user will click on the URL and hence traffic.

Search engines use a formula, algorithm (for computing) to influence how a site will rank in the results that internet users will see. A range of steps and techniques can be used to gain a high ranking for a particular site. The methods are broken down into two categories, namely “white hat SEO” and “black hat SEO” The colours speak for themselves, basically, “white hat SEO” includes methods like building content and the quality of the site, more to the legal sense. “Black hat SEO” involves tricks such as spamdexing or even cloaking. Many would see black hat methods are an unwarranted, deceptive way to manipulate the rankings of one’s site. Furthermore, they do not provide more quality content to site users. More often than not search engines condemn these ‘illegal-like’ approaches. It all comes down to how concerned a webmaster is towards ethical values and principles.

For the record, search engine optimization did not come into existence until the year 1997; less than a decade after search engines are born. The early aggressive webmasters quickly took advantage, making efforts to earn good rankings for their websites. With the increase of SEO, there is a possibility of consequential destructive relationship between Search engines and SEOs, an annual conference named ‘AIRWEB’ was created in 2005 to discuss bridging the web and diminish chances of damaging effects of aggressive web content providers. Some SEO techniques are seen as illegal whereby their client’s websites are prohibited from search engines.

With a good traffic chained from good SEO, marketing online becomes crucial. Simply put it, more online traffic, more eyes will feast on the websites contents, a big smile on the webmaster’s face. For example, a website selling items can have a very good chance of earning customers with more traffic; simple probability theory can explain this. Even so, higher rankings do not guarantee more sales but many are more than willing to pay sky high prices for professional SEO companies just to improve their site’s traffic.

In short, Search engine optimization (SEO) is used to improve rankings of websites so they can appear first before others.

I might have to take this one off..

Finals are a little more than a month away from now. I vow to have no life. Therefore this particular blog might lack content for the following weeks. (not like it hasn't been)

I'm not going to Prom this year. Big news.

    Reason no1: Money

Reason no2: Not to be mentioned since it will offend a lot of people

    Reason no3: Read the above

Reason no4: Just don't feel like it

Reason no5: You really think there is a reason no5???

Proms does not have magical moments and are always over-hyped. Just attend one in your lifetime, and move on. Your life is fulfilled.

And for those who are going... have fun!

For your info, I'm very busy with school work and even the very berry more busier with writing articles to earn money.

Yes, I write articles to earn money.

    This is how it goes

    300 words for RM3,

    500 words for RM5,

    1000 words for RM10.

The catch is I dont really get to choose what I have to write. On the bright side, I would'nt be stuck not knowing what to type.

I hope i can make a fortune by the end of the month.

Keep reading guys, someday something substantial and important will appear on this page :)

No body plays with lanterns anymore. How lame.

Aren't they the most interesting Mofos to play in the world?

I was asking a friend what everyone did on mid-autumn festival night.

    "Dota"

Enough of that silly game. Just for one night, be fools, light up lanterns and parade like there is no tomorrow.

    Just once a year.

Its not too much to ask now is it?

I wanted to say Thank god its friay, but then tomoro there is still class and lots of work has to be done. Somehow, The system is designed to the fact that every week is considered the highlight of the semester. Screw one week, screw your life.

I currently have a craving for meat. Barbequed meat with barbeque sauce. Meat meat meat meat!

Lost season 3 episode 1 is out. And I watched it :) Prison break beats lost any episode, any time.

I'm pretty exhausted. I need a straight 8 hours of sleep which is impossible these days.

Semester break is over and its all studying again! The joy! The joy!

At least in two months, after the exams, its going to be a good long holiday (yes I mean holiday) for sure.

But before all that, assignments and exams do take place. Sucky times really.

Anyways do download picasa and firefox toolbar from my sidebar.

Both are important essentials that the world needs and they can be only found on this very site! Yes. Only download it from the links on my sidebar! No where else! :D
