We sent Daniel off today.
He has to go through 3 different airlines and do a little travelling on his own to see more sheeps.
After watching so many documentaries, movies, tv shows about plane crashes... I assume the dude's terrified in one of his flights right now.
No worries man, I'm on cnn.com and refreshing it every 45 seconds.
And when you do arrive safely, give us a shout out and tell us that your safe ya!
Edit: He's Alive!

I manage to do some impromptu cooking today, which is good.
In case you didnt know, a lot of people think I cant cook just because I almost never do it on my own, besides frying eggs or making instant noodles for myself. Usually I am the helper who doesn't do anything anyways except cleaning.
Unfortunately I only realised that I should take pictures almost nearly the last minute. Darn.
Every step taken I believe is quite unorthodox

Here we have fried egg and pork.
The egg is scrambled with soy sauce, I'm sure anyone out there can do it.
The pork, lets just say I didn't really defrosted it.
In case you cant see it.
I soaked the meat in hot water for speed defrosting, then quickly marinated the meat in soy sauce, salt, pepper, seasoning sauce and some wine. Chopped some garlic, heat up the pan, fried the garlic, add the meat and fried it to near perfection.
Not bad I think.

And I goreng-ed (fried) some noodles. What's mi goreng if you dont goreng it?
... just mi

And the outcome... lunch. Honestly it didn't taste bad at all.

De grill is a good restaurant. Food's good, pricey but not a bomb but I always hope for a bigger portion though.

Average Interior, not trying too hard

yeap yeap yeap

Here are some onion rings with tar tar sauce. For quite a reasonable price I must say.

Lamb chop with the house's special sauce. Not bad at all. And its under RM20. With another piece of meat, It would be better.

And here's lamb with garlic sauce. Pretty much the same as the last one.
What I can say about this restaurant is, somehow I don feel like I'm paying much even though its a little pricier than some other eating outlets. Its a good thing actually.
3.5 out of 5 stars!

End of January means a couple of things to me. Some good, some bad..
End of January is like the end of any other month, which is OMGINMPML or Oh My God, I No More Pocket Money Liaw!!!!
Since Its January, and classes start at feb, most people are going back, making this year's Chinese New Year not as syok.
End of Jan is also the time when Prison break and Heroes are back in the torrenting world!
Also end of the first month and holidays seem to be ending soon. Even though I still have 1 month to go. Damn.

My results for semester 2 is out.
I peed in my pants so much while scrolling for my number, I'm quite sure I got dehydrated just now.
Its the time when we always hope for the best and fear the worst. I was prepared to fail two papers. I spent my evening thinking of all the things I did wrong during the finals and another minute on telling myself I got this question right. Then 10 seconds is spent on how its just 2 marks.
I would bet myself failing at least 1 paper this time round. Odds were so bad at one point, I was trying to think of excuses to save my skin.
Alas, I did okay and I'm done with first year. Good for me in a way. Sophomore year Baby! Bring it on!
I'm not done with the holidays yet by the way. Can use another 2 months.
I shall study harder this coming semester and collect some Ds and HDs to impress myself.

Been quite a while since I went to a decent eatery and comment about it. This time it is Patio. Pronounced as Pay-tee-oh by the way.

Nothing faney about the backdrop or the floors or the ceiling if it matters.

The garlic bread comes in 4 pieces, simple. IF you can count, each will cost you about RM1

Just in case if I am stirring up your appetite without you wanting me to, here's a picture of

Their toilet. Nothing that syok about it really, but at least its clean.

This my friend is the honey bbq lamb leg. I actually came here for this. They also sell the bigger portion one for four pricing at 89.90. One day I shall return to have that one.

For variety, the mix grilled is also ordered.
I have to make a comment about their service though, even though I'm pretty sure this doesn't happen everyday. I was told that the beef for the mixed grill is finished, so I changed it to a slice of pork, and they ended up serving me pork chops. As instructed, they took it back, and after a few words, I found out its the lamb that is finished, and there is still beef. Will, as least I got the mix grilled.
For desert, just simple ice-cream.

I expected a lot more though.
Overall Patio is a not bad place to go. Its not very pricey, they have quite a lot of variety of choices (mostly western), interior is not fancy, but good enough, and its even got a patio outside. Overall Not bad.

Today I saw a lot of kids of all ages in school uniform going to school(or coming home from school)
Its a long time ago since I last went to school in proper uniform and all, and I must say I do miss it alot.
I'm going to do a random recap of the past thingy that includes every year of my schooling life, besides kindergarden.
Today I shall start with Primary 1. Its grade one for some of you out there, and over here in Malaysia, 6 turning 7 year olds go to primary one. This was like 13 years ago.
- 1st person I sat with on the first day of primary one was Caryn Sim.
- My 1st lunch of the first day was porridge
- Every Wednesday there will be Chicken rice on the menu for lunch
- I joined some cultural club which has nothing to do with culture, and its on tuesdays from 3.30 to 4.30 PM
- School starts at 7.30 and ends at 3.20
- Recess is at 9.30 to 9.50 and 2.20 to 2.30 while lunch is from 11.50 to 12.30
- We only have one teacher in the morning teaching us BM, maths, art, PE
- My class is right next to the toilet (called 1.1 by the way)
- First english project was called Bodies, and when it was introduced, I got diarrhea that and I was absent for only one day for the whole year
- I bought this Waffle from the music teacher for RM2.50 and ended up sharing majority of it with my classmates
- One student brought a bagpipe to school
- Other English Projects includes Space, supermarkets(I think) and water
- Field trips that I remembered: Waterfront, Smart Supermarket
- Took the bus home everyday
Thats more or less it I think.

2 headlines.
One about the Plane crash in Kuching International Airport. Have you heard? The good thing is that its just a cargo plane and no deaths. Probably just damage to letters, parcels, newspapers. But still a crash is a crash. Cargo or not, people will start having second thoughts flying around here, especially when this happened in our backyard.
Number two is about Beckham's outrageous Pay when he plays in L.A. Galaxy. Why? So what if he's an Icon, even half of that is too much. The club is not that great in the first place, Beckham is depleting and way beyond his peak, can't really play football for nuts besides curling kicks and for that money?
Yes I understand its the only place to go for him to play his golden games of his career, nothing wrong with that, but the money he earns makes me sick. He is going to be the highest paid footballer in the world by miles, probably highest paid sportsperson, I need to check on that. But its unbelievably crazy thats for sure.

Okay, ages since I posted. Here's one for the readers that constantly visit everyday.
So I finally sat on AirAsia, the low cost airline. I use to wonder how this airline makes any money by selling 9.90 tickets. Now I know. (Tickets can be priced up to quite expensive)
The Terminal on Kuching International Airport was quite good.
In what sense? Good lah! Don ask so much.

If you ask me, an AirAsia aircraft, the airbus, looks like a toy or some model. Maybe its just the colour, or the mentality that I have then, it doesnt look like it can fly long. We all know that toy planes specialise in crashing.

still looks like a toy.
Low cost means don't expect much. Dont expect 1st class service.
3 cabin crew, nothing much to offer during flight... doesnt matter. Didnt pay much in the first place.

Is it just me, or Air Asia flies very low.

One thing I would like to point out though. Maggie Cup noodles cost RM6. You can get it from the supemarket for RM1. Yes I know, we are 35000 feet up in the sky, sell it for RM3, not RM6.
Add another ringgit and get a Nasi Lemak, more worth it, more syok. But I notice damn a lot of passengers eating this instant noodles.
The guy in front of me bought so many merchandise... AirAsia... Manchester United.. some big fan I guess..

I go online lesser these days, lesser by alot, almost 500 to 600% lesser. That is something major.
I'l be going on holiday from saturday until tuesday next week, short break so Don't expect a post then, but hey, come tomoro and I will add something nice for you to read.
Anyways, trip this is to KL, due to the length of the trip (very very short) I don't think I would have time to visit anyone, and I'm truly sorry. I will be travelling with two females (lucky me) and the aim of the trip is just to do serious shopping.
ITs going to be my maiden airasia flight. Honestly, I look up to Air Asia and what its becoming these days. I use to think that budget airlines like these offer very little comfort, service and safety. This saturday they are going to prove me wrong.

One thing I certainly do not look forward to in 2007 is my semester 2 results. To be honest, my gut feeling is telling me that something is not right. I hope things work out my favour though.
The New Year this time was celebrated with an impromtu drive to Damai, opposing the walk that we were suppose to take, so I guess, another postponement of our walking to Damai project.
I do believe what ever happens at that New Year Moment does give a simple reflection of the year.
I guess this year is going to be spontaneous, and moving forward in a relatively fast pace. What ever it is, I hope I enjoy 2007!
